Melissa Blackburn: Exceptional Children's Chair - When I graduated High School, I attended High Point University...GO PANTHERS! I majored in Special Education with a concentration in Mental Disabilities and I couldn’t wait to graduate and start teaching. I went back to school in 2005 to get my Graduate degree in Special Education with an add certification in Exceptional Children’s Director. I have taught for 16 years and have experience in grades K-5 which will really help me challenge your child to reach for the stars this year!
Sean Davis: Self Contained Moderate Exceptional Children's Teacher - I am a retired United States Marine. I spent much of my career in the Marine Corps overseas working in varied environments and cultures learning to value all others for what they can bring to the world. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland University College in May 2017 and I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching Exceptional Children. I am very excited to be a part of Pickett Elementary School and Lexington City Schools.
Faye Peebles: Exceptional Children's Teachers Assistant - I am a graduate from Lexington Senior High School - Go Jackets! I have an associates degree in Cosmetology from DCCC. I returned to DCCC for my child care credentials. I have worked as a teacher assistant at Pickett Elementary School for 16 years. I love spending time with my family.
Samantha Gray: Exceptional Children's Teachers Assistant - I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from High Point University. I have been honored to serve as a Teachers Assistant with Lexington City Schools for the past 5 years. I love working with children, and helping them achieve their goals and beyond!
