Hello My Name Is...

Ms. McGovern

This is not only my first year at Pickett Elementary, it is my first year as a Teacher. I recently graduated from High Point University with a degree in Elementary Education. I am still a student at High Point as I work through their Educational Leadership program. I am a strong believer that we are all life long learners. 

I am originally from Northern Virginia, where my parents and dogs still live. I have other family scattered around the country, but I have made the decision to make North Carolina my home. While I do not have any pets living with me at the moment, I love to talk about my family's dogs. Delilah, Riley, and Luna are loves of my life. 

This is going to be a great year for all of us. I am very excited to have my very own students. I know this year looks a little different, but we are still going to have fun and learn a lot.
