Dear Parents and Guardians,
Hello, I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning! Before we get started I imagine you may want to know something about me. My husband and I have a 23 year old son that graduated from NC State last year and an 18 year old daughter that just began College at UNCG. Our family and I enjoy outdoor activities in our spare time, such as hiking and kayaking. We are all animal lovers. Our family includes three dogs: Gidget, Sparky, Simba (a Peek-a-poo, Dauschund and a Golden Retriever/Chow) as well as three cats (Bentley, Smokey and Bandit) and a fourth dog, Shadow (German Sheperd/Lab Mix) that accompanies my son when he comes home to visit.

I graduated in 1999 with an Associate in Arts Degree and later returned to school for my teaching degree. As a student of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I majored in Special Education and minored in English. I had the opportunity to work in schools with students with disabilities in various environments including general education classrooms, resource and self-contained classrooms. During that time, I volunteered with Horsepower and worked to teach Leadership Advocacy skills to students with disabilities at the University. I graduated in 2012 from UNCG with a Bachelor’s in Science Degree. This is my sixth year as a Special Education teacher. Prior to working as a Special Education Teacher,  I taught in Randolph County for four years in a Cross-categorical Classroom. Previously, I worked with a foreign exchange program, in helping high school students come to the United States to learn our culture and improve their English skills. Before that, I taught preschool for six years and worked with students with disabilities in the home and in the community. I am pleased to be working in the community and look forward to getting to know your children. Feel free to call me anytime if I can be of assistance.

Let’s have a great year!

Sincerely,

Patricia Lambert
