I am pleased to announce that the Lexington Senior High School Athletic Department will be inducting our first group of outstanding recipients into the Lexington Senior High School Hall of Fame this fall. We are dedicated to preserving the colorful tradition of high school athletics in Lexington. The Hall of Fame seeks to highlight the past in order to insure a promising future for Lexington Senior High School Athletics. The recognition of past personalities and their significant contributions to our school from both Dunbar High School and Lexington Sr. High School will serve to provide models for future generations to emulate.

Our Selection Committee will be receiving nominations through the month of April. Please see the attached nomination form and consider sending in your worthy applicant. Nomination forms will be available at each city school office or our LSHS web site beginning April 1st.

There will be a Lexington Athletic Hall of Fame banquet to honor our inductees on Thursday, September 26th, 7:00pm at the Lexington Municipal Club Ballroom. Tickets will be $30 per person, which includes a delicious chicken and prime-rib dinner, and will be available for purchase on August 1st. You may purchase tickets from any Lexington Senior High Athletic Booster Member or from the LSHS Athletic Department. In addition to the banquet, our inductees will be recognized at our Varsity Football Game on Friday, September 27th at Philpott Memorial Stadium. We hope you will make plans to attend.
