Mrs. Leigh Shoaf

Welcome! My name is Leigh Shoaf and I am a Special Education Teacher. I have been teaching at Lexington City Schools for eight years, but this is my first year teaching at LSHS. I can't put into words how much I love all of my students and learning about their cultures! This is going to be a wonderful year!

I am married to Carlton Shoaf and we have three wonderful sons; Trey (29), Brannon (26), and Preston (24). We enjoy spending time as a family and with our dogs, Lulu and Mollie.

I am a native of Lexington. I attended Picket Elementary School, Lexington Middle School, and graduated from Lexington Senior High School in 1986. I graduated from The College of Charleston with a degree in Sociology. After being a mom of children who struggled in school, I enrolled in the Masters of Education program at Salem College with the goal of helping students who may not learn like everyone else. I am a lifelong Yellow Jacket and I am passionate about doing my part to help each student reach their potential, just as my teachers did for me.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or I can assist you in any way! I believe it is important for all of us to work together.
