Hello!  Hola!  Konnichiwa! Ni Hao! Guten Tag! Ciao! Annyeonghaseyo!

I am the ESL teacher that is serving Multilingual Learners at Southwest Elementary Global Academy for the 2023-2024 school year.  I am so excited about teaching your child this year. I serve 1st through 5th grade intensive groups five times a week, and 1st through 5th grade moderate level groups are served two or three times a week. 

I am a Highly Qualified teacher with certifications in K-12 ESL and Middle Grades Mathematics.  This is my 12th year of teaching; I have taught students in pre-k, elementary, middle school, high school, technical college, and adults. This is my 2nd year at Southwest!

Some information about me--I am originally from Atlanta, GA, but I have moved 12 times.  I met my husband while I was living in Hikari, Japan as an English teacher.   He was in the Marines.  Since then, we have lived in Jacksonville, NC, Denton, TX, Minot, ND, Greenville, SC and now we have been living in Mocksville, NC since 2019. We have three children: Reina is in 9th grade, Caleb is in 7th grade, and Josiah is in 5th grade.  We also have a Pitbull named Nutmeg, a German Pinscher named Max, and a Manx cat named Whiskers. :)

My hobbies are singing, dancing (Zumba!), reading, woodworking, and other arts and crafts.  I am licensed as a REALTOR in the Triad real estate market, which I do in the summer and in my spare time during the school year. I also enjoy watching my children play sports and other extracurricular activities.

Soy la maestra de ESL que atiende a estudiantes multilingües en Southwest Elementary Global Academy para el año escolar 2023-2024. Estoy muy emocionada de enseñarle a su hijo este año. Sirvo a grupos intensivos de 1.° a 5.° grado cinco veces a la semana, y los grupos de nivel moderado de 1.° a 5.° grado son atendidos tres veces a la semana.

Soy un maestro altamente calificado con certificaciones en K-12 ESL y matemáticas de grados intermedios. Este es mi año 12 de enseñanza; He enseñado a estudiantes de prekínder, primaria, secundaria, preparatoria, colegio técnico y adultos. ¡Este es mi segundo año en Southwest!

Mis pasatiempos son cantar, bailar (¡zumba!), leer, trabajar la madera y otras artes y manualidades. Tengo licencia como REALTOR en el mercado inmobiliario de Triad, lo que hago en el verano y en mi tiempo libre durante el año escolar. También disfruto viendo a mis hijos practicar deportes y otras actividades extracurriculares.
