    Week of August 29-September 1

    Monday Night:

    • Review Letters  Ss (Sammie Snake) &  Tt (Talking Tess)-sound/action they make
    • Review words “a”, “at”, “is” and “the” (just identify, not spell)
    • Practice writing name on sheet attached
    • Practice counting to 20

    Tuesday Night:

    • Review Letters Uu (Uppy Umbrella/Mr. Uu) & Vv (Vickie Violet)-sound/action they make
      • Review words “a”, “at”, “is” and “the” (just identify, not spell)
      • Listen to your child read the “At School” book that is in his/her binder. Your child should be able to show you the front of the book, the back of the book, point to the title of the book and track print (point to each word as it’s read), then tell you what happened in the book when he/she is finished reading it.
    • Complete the attached math sheet (week 2-whole sheet)

    Wednesday Night:

    • Review Letters Ww (Walter Walrus) & Xx (Fix-It Max)-sound/action they make
    • Review words “a”, “at”, “is” and “the” (just identify, not spell)
    • Complete the attached name number writing sheet with numbers 0-5
    • Review identifying numbers 0-10
    • Thursday Night:
      • Review Letters Yy (Yo-yo Man) & Zz (Zig Zag Zebra)-sound/action they make
      • Review words “a”, “at”, “is” and “the” (just identify, not spell)
      • Practice writing name on sheet attached
      • Complete the attached math sheet (week 2 assessment-whole sheet)

    Notes: 

    • Please do the homework for each night on the night that is stated. Use the letter, number and word cards that are provided to you (cut them up and put them in the labeled envelopes that were put in your child’s notebook). 
    • The characters (Impy Ink, etc. are the characters in a program we use at school called Letterland (ask your child about it).  
    • Please leave all of the envelopes, cards, homework, etc. in the notebook and return it all the following day. Please do not do the homework for your child, but help guide him/her with it.
    • Work on holding a pencil correctly
    • We get library books every Tues/Thus. Please read them to your child & return them on these days.
    • If you haven’t done so already, please send in headphones for your child.
