Ms. Stephanie S Staub
WELCOME to Kindergarten! I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Stephanie Staub. I began teaching Kindergarten in 1999. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in elementary education and later received my master’s in education from Winston-Salem State University. I love children, being outside, animals, reading and camping. I will do everything possible to ensure that your child has a successful year!
Your child is special to me. I want your child to LOVE Kindergarten and come away with positive memories of this year. I want your child to have a love of reading in order for your child to learn more information and for enjoyment. We will begin our year by visiting an exciting place called Letterland. It is a place where letters come alive and say or sing their sound. You may hear your child singing about Annie Apple and all her friends at home. In math, we will sing fun counting songs and work on counting objects in our room. We will learn about shapes, colors, numbers, patterns, likenesses and differences, sorting and more!
Your child will have important items in Kindergarten such as homework, take-home readers, behavior reports, letters and all kinds of information. In order to make keeping up with all these items easy for your child, I will give your child a Bee Binder (Bring Everything Everyday). It is simply a binder with pockets for all the information that your child needs for school.
Throughout the year, I will communicate with you through Class Dojo, telephone calls, notes, newsletters, and conferences. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. Please call South Lexington (336-242-1544), send me a dojo, note, or email me at sstaub@lexcs.org .
Kindest Regards,
Ms. Staub
