Hi!  My name is Tara Martinez. I've been teaching 20 years, but this is my fourth year teaching 3rd Grade!  I'm so excited about this year!  I started out teaching music at Southwest Elementary, and have been working in Lexington City Schools ever since!  I went to Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and majored in Music Education.  While attending there, I traveled the United States with the choir, the Voices of Lee.  I have three children, Wesley, Elizabeth and Madison.  Wesley is in high school now.  Elizabeth attends a school for dyslexia and loves art.  Madison is in Kindergarten Spanish Immersion this year!  We love to play games, watch movies, and explore together.  Wesley loves to build with Legos!  Elizabeth is our artist always drawing, and she loves unicorns, mermaids and Barbies!  Madison is our wild child!  She loves to create chaos, and is always making us laugh!  We all love singing, dancing and being silly together.  I always knew I wanted to teach since I was 5 years old!  I have loved having my dream come true!
