I am honored to be your child’s teacher. I was born and raised in Lexington, NC. I've had the pleasure of teaching in Lexington City Schools for 9 years. I currently serve as a Multi Classroom Leader in 4th grade. I'm married with a three year old son. I graduated May 15, 2010 from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and December 12, 2010 I completed the requirements for my K-6 Licensure. In 2019, I received my Masters in Executive Leadership Studies from Gardner-Webb University.

Some activities that I enjoy are reading, singing, and sewing. I have a love for theater, especially musicals that enlighten my mind. I strongly value spending quality time with family and friends because it is nothing like having strong, positive, and supportive people around me.

As an educator, it will be my goal to develop a classroom that is flamboyant, democratic, student-driven, and most of all empowering. It is important for my students to have experiences that are useful in and out of the classroom to prepare them for life. I am excited to work with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead in a safe and secure environment.
