My name is Annabell Smith and I am a 7th grade teacher at Lexington Middle School. I teach both Math and Math 1. This is my 4th year teaching at LMS, but I grew up in Lexington and attended Lexington City Schools. There is something magical about working at the school you once learned in yourself. I love to tell my students stories about things that I did at LMS. One specifically was being a member of the Tennis team and the MathCounts club. I went to UNCG for my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I then started my career teaching 3rd grade at Thomasville Primary school. After 2 years of teaching I found my passion for math and decided to go back to school to get my masters in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I live with my husband, and dog in Winston Salem, NC. I can't wait to experience this year with you.
