Hello, My name is Jaelyn Hargrave and I will be serving as the 5th grade ELA and Social studies teacher for the 2021-2022 school year! I am a native of Lexington NC, and will forever be a Yellow Jacket!  I am thrilled to be beginning my teaching career at Pickett Elementary School and serving the community that assisted me within my growth! I graduated from North Carolina Central University (Eagle Pride!) with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in English. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, going on vacation, and just enjoying all that life offers! I have a passion for children, and is overjoyed with being able to teach the children in our community. It is my mission to instill love and happiness for learning within my students. Let's take on the school year!
