Welcome

Welcome to Kindergarten at South Lexington! My name is Eleanor McElveen. I am a graduate of Catawba College. I have worked with Lexington City Schools for fourteen years at the elementary level. I am very excited and looking forward to having your child in my classroom. I look forward to teaching and encouraging growth and learning for each student. 

I will work very hard this year to meet each student where they are, as well as, challenge students and make learning fun and enjoyable. My passion is installing love and learning in young minds. My goal is respect for each student and family. We will focus on letters and number recognition, letter sounds, begin reading and much more.
