I had my Bachelor in Elementary Education at Xavier University — Ateneo de Cagayan and graduated Summa Cum Laude last 2010, having Special Education as my specialization. I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in the same year. I was absorbed by Xavier University Grade School right after graduation and worked there for two years as an English and Language teacher. I earned my Master’s Degree in Teaching SPED (MAT- SPED) at the University of Science and Technology of the Philippines (USTP) in the year 2014. I then proceeded with a Doctorate Degree in Education (EdD) and graduated from Misamis University last 2019, with Educational Management as my specialization. I was a SPED teacher for six years before I was promoted as a Master Teacher in the Philippines, and was finally hired by Lexington City Schools as an Exceptional Children (EC) teacher for Resource. It is my second year as an EC Teacher for this School Year 2023-2024.

In the past, I have handled children with Autism, Learning Disability and Intellectual Disability, and gifted and talented preschoolers and grade school pupils. My research work focuses on Special Education, including teaching strategies for Learners with Special Educational Needs (LSENs), innovative approaches for Gifted and Talented (GT) learners, insights of SPED teachers, digitalizing printed self- learning modules in the new normal and instructional coaching of master teachers. I am a prominent member of the Division Research Council (DRC) in the Division of Misamis Occidental. I have participated and presented research in the division, region and national congresses and conferences. My research on “Game-based Intervention on Communication Skills of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Basis for an Individualized Educational Plan” was awarded as Best Oral Presentation by the esteemed Board of Reviewers in the MAESTRA Professional Journal’s 2nd Research Congress last June 2021. The said professional
journal for teachers had my research published on their 1st Issue 2021 (Volume III Issue No.1).

Moreover, I have provided technical assistance to the East City Central School of Cagayan de Oro City on Distance Learning Modalities, and contributed as resource speaker for the faculty of the Adventist Technological Institute of Jimenez, Misamis Occidental, and for the Education college students at the University of Science and Technology in the Southern Philippines, Panaon Campus in Panaon, Misamis Occidental. I am also a part-time faculty member at present in the Graduate Studies Department of the Northern Mindanao State College (NMSC) in Tangub City. I am known for my verbal prowess and established hosting skills in school activities, LGU-related celebrations, provincial festivities, district and division-initiated trainings and programs, and regional Management Committee meetings and workshops.

I am proficient in written and spoken English and Filipino languages. As a member of the Division Research Council in the Division of Misamis Occidental, I can well critique research studies, provide suggestive inputs and give constructive feedback. I have also completed and presented action and basic research at district and division conferences, and regional and national congresses. Having also successfully completed and defended my thesis and dissertation, I am quite able to showcase diverse approaches and strategies for researchers, like in this case, students from undergraduate and graduate studies, and help them improve their written crafts. More so, my work experiences in private and public educational institutions gradually molded out the best of being an effective teacher in me. My achievements, promotions, and well-recommended teaching experience are the mixture of attitudes I possess – my strong determination, passion and dedication at any task and responsibility at hand. I always believe on having an outlook of commitment with excellence.
