My name is Alice Pickett Hamilton, and I am proud to be a South Lexington Kindergarten teacher!!  I am from Lexington, received a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from Winston-Salem State University, and also completed my Elementary Education at Winston-Salem State University.   I have also completed a Master-level class in Education with Specialization in Reading and Literacy courses at Capella University. 

I have a true passion for working with our young learners!!  Helping each child progress and grow in reading.  I also have the desire to help all my students to  develop academically.  This is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily.  I strive to create a community of learners that loves to learn and to  nurture this growth in a positive, fun environment. 

Personally, I have been married for 34 glorious years and have four  fantastic children : Kenethea, Leslie, Marcus and Quandarius.  I also have eight beautiful grandchildren; Tamia, Jourdain, Jahidi, James, Aareon, Christian, Dominico and the youngest, Marli.  We love to spend time with our grandchildren and watching sports.  I also enjoy reading, cooking for my family,and  listening to Gospel music.
