Lexington City Schools is excited to announce the release of episodes 2 through 4 of Conversations in the Hive, our podcast series hosted by Superintendent Dr. Nakia Hardy. This latest set of episodes shines a spotlight on exceptional seniors from the Class of 2025, sharing their stories of growth, achievement, and preparation for life beyond high school.
These Senior Highlights feature:
Episode 2: Lily Ervin — Celebrated as the CCC Player of the Year and member of the 1,000 Point Club, Lily reflects on her historic basketball career at Lexington City Schools and shares her plans to continue playing at Mount Olive University.
Episode 3: Julian Rodriguez Banuelos — A dedicated Career and Technical Education (CTE) Automotive student, Julian shares how the hands-on skills he’s gaining in the automotive program provide a valuable backup plan as he explores different paths for his future.
Episode 4: Kamilah Barley — Focused and determined, Kamilah shares how her experience in the CTE pathway has prepared her to overcome challenges and confidently plan her next steps after graduation.
