Lexington Senior High School: 8:20 AM – 3:30 PM
Lexington Middle School: 8:20 AM – 3:30 PM
Charles England Elementary School: 7:30 AM – 2:25 PM
Pickett Elementary School: 7:30 AM – 2:20 PM
Southwest Elementary Global Academy: 7:30 AM – 2:25 PM
South Lexington Elementary (Pre-K/K): 8:00 AM – 2:45 PM
South Lexington Developmental Center: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
🎒 Clear Backpack Policy
Students are required to use backpacks made of clear plastic, vinyl, or similar transparent materials. A small additional bag (no larger than 6" x 9" x 5") is allowed.
Non-clear lunchboxes, medically necessary items, and athletic/instrument bags are permitted with certain restrictions.
This policy helps maintain a safe and secure school environment.
📱 Updated Cell Phone Policy:
To support focus and minimize distractions:
Elementary & Middle Schools: Cell phones are not permitted during the school day.
High School: Cell phones may only be used during a student’s designated lunch period.
🚌 “Where’s The Bus” App:
We are excited to offer the “Where’s The Bus” app, a free GPS-based tool for families with students who ride our buses. This app shows you exactly when your child’s bus will arrive.
Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Select “Lexington City Schools” and enter your child’s information.
You’ll need your child’s student ID, which can be obtained by visiting your school office with a photo ID.
