Welcome to Math 8  

For the 2021-2022 school year at LMS, I am one of the 8th grade math teachers and also the Math Master Teacher Leader (MTL). 

Classroom / Grade-Level Expectations

8th Grade Math Class:

We strive for high levels of learning and student success.  Also, we try to uncover the relevance of math in the real-world. 

In class, ALL students are expected to: 

* participate in small/whole group discussions

* have a math notebook and write class notes 

* complete class assignments as assigned

* focus on learning rather than socializing

* try their best in class        

 

Grading Policy:

  • Homework – 15%

  • Classwork – 25%

  • Quiz – 25%

  • Test – 35%
