Lexington City Schools is proud to recognize our school leaders throughout October in celebration of Principal Appreciation Month.

Each day, our principals lead with purpose, support students and staff, strengthen connections with families, and help create school environments where every student has the opportunity to succeed. Their leadership extends far beyond the school building as they work alongside educators, families and community partners to move our district forward.

This month, LCS proudly celebrates Dr. Michael Courtwright, CEES; Melissa Blackburn, PES; Dr. Jermaine Porter, LSHS; Dr. Judy Richards, SL/SDC; Jihan Harvey, SWEGA; and Joseph Stone, LMS.

We thank each of our principals for their dedication, leadership and commitment to the students, staff and families of Lexington City Schools.
