At Pickett Elementary School, we recognize that children learn and express themselves in many different ways. Our Physical Education, Music, Art, and Media programs provide students with meaningful opportunities to learn through movement, creativity, and exploration.

In Physical Education, students develop lifelong fitness habits while learning teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance. PE helps build confidence and focus—skills that extend into the classroom and everyday life.

Music fosters creativity, discipline, and collaboration. Whether singing, playing instruments, or exploring rhythm and sound, students strengthen memory, listening, and communication skills that enhance academic learning.

Through Art, students are encouraged to think critically and express ideas visually. They explore a variety of media and techniques, gaining problem-solving and design skills that build creativity and self-expression.

Our Media program supports digital literacy, research skills, and a love for reading. Students learn to safely and effectively navigate information while discovering new ways to connect with stories and technology.
