Exceptional Children
At Pickett Elementary School, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Our Exceptional Children’s (EC) Program provides specialized instruction and support services for students with identified disabilities, ensuring they receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
Through individualized education plans (IEPs), our dedicated team of teachers, specialists, and support staff work collaboratively with families to meet each student’s unique needs. Services may include academic support, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and behavioral or social-emotional support.
Our goal is to empower students to reach their fullest potential by promoting independence, confidence, and a love for learning.
