South Lexington School to Host “Look Out, Cookout” Parent Night
Lexington, NC — South Lexington School is inviting families to join them for a special community event, “Look Out, Cookout Parent Night,” on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The evening will take place on campus at 1000 Cotton Grove Road in Lexington and is designed to connect families with important school resources while enjoying a fun, family-friendly cookout.
Parents can expect to receive Title I information along with an informational packet that highlights academic and behavior expectations, as well as guidelines and support details from the school nurse, social worker, and counselor. Families of Pre-K students will also receive seedlings for home planting.
And of course, no cookout would be complete without food—hot dogs will be served to all attendees.
Organizers encourage parents to RSVP with their child’s teacher through ClassDojo or by text message to help ensure a smooth and welcoming event.
The school hopes to see a great turnout, as this event provides not only valuable information but also a chance to build community and strengthen the partnership between families and South Lexington School staff.
