David A. Mickle Jr.
CTE- Sports & Event Marketing I & II
I am a Winston-Salem native, U.S. Army veteran, and proud graduate of Carver High School. I earned my undergraduate degree in Finance from UNC Charlotte and my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Trident University.
As a Career and Technical Education teacher, I teach courses in Microsoft Office, entrepreneurship, business, tourism and hospitality, and sports and event marketing. My goal is to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences while helping students develop confidence, leadership, professionalism, and practical skills they can carry into college, careers, and life.
My involvement with students extends well beyond the classroom. I coach women’s tennis, middle school basketball, and women’s softball, serve as the advisor for Student Government Association (SGA) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and serve as a member of our School Based Leadership Team (SBLT). These roles allow me to support students academically, athletically, and as emerging leaders within our school community.
Whether I am teaching, coaching, advising a student organization, or contributing to school leadership, my focus remains the same: creating opportunities for students to discover their strengths, develop their voice, take on meaningful responsibility, and prepare themselves for what comes next.
