Lexington Senior High School student-athletes are recognized during the 2026 Jacket Athletic Celebration alongside coaches, families, and district leaders.

Lexington Senior High School recently celebrated the achievements, leadership, and dedication of its student-athletes during the 2026 Jacket Athletic Celebration held at the Edward C. Smith Civic Center.

The evening recognized students, coaches, and supporters who made an impact throughout the athletic year both on and off the field. Awards were presented across fall, winter, and spring sports programs, including scholar athlete recognitions, all-conference honors, specialty awards, and Athlete of the Year honors.

Students participating in sports including cross country, wrestling, tennis, cheerleading, golf, volleyball, swimming, track and field, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and football were recognized during the ceremony.

The program also highlighted the importance of academic achievement, sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership. Scholar Athlete Awards honored students who demonstrated excellence in the classroom while representing Lexington Senior High School through athletics.

Special recognitions included:

  • Volunteer of the Year

  • Ronnie Beverly School Spirit Award

  • LSHS Assistant Coach of the Year

  • LSHS Coach of the Year

  • Female Athlete of the Year

  • Male Athlete of the Year

Superintendent Dr. Ron Anthony was also in attendance to help celebrate the accomplishments and dedication of Lexington Senior High School’s student-athletes, coaches, and families.

The celebration brought together families, coaches, staff, alumni, and community members to honor the commitment and accomplishments of Lexington’s student-athletes.

Lexington City Schools also extends appreciation to Principal Dr. Jermaine Porter, Athletic Director Mr. Ben Robinson, coaches, staff, the Board of Education, and all supporters who helped make the celebration possible and continue supporting student success both in the classroom and in competition.

Lexington City Schools congratulates all award recipients and athletic programs for an outstanding year of achievement and proudly celebrates the continued success of our Yellow Jackets both academically and athletically.
