Spectrum News 1 recently spotlighted Lexington Senior High School senior Lennox French in a video interview, highlighting his virtual reality project — "Creating Digital Spaces in VR" — which was selected as the first-ever student project in SparkNC history to be shared statewide.

French developed the project through the school's SparkNC Lab, where more than 40 students this semester are exploring coding, cybersecurity, and game design under the guidance of Lab leader Garland Beamer. The project is now working through state review, with plans to test it across other SparkNC labs before a full statewide launch next year.
