Welcome to Health Science! 🩺💙
Welcome to your Health Science class at Lexington Senior High School! I’m Ms. Beverly, and I’m excited to be a part of your journey as you explore the world of healthcare.
Lexington Senior High School holds a special place in my heart because I’m a proud Yellow Jacket alumna, Class of 2014! After graduating from LSHS, I attended Catawba College, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education. I later continued my education at Winston-Salem State University, where I earned my Master's degree in Teaching - Health and Physical Education.
Now, I have the opportunity to give back to the school and community that helped shape me by teaching the next generation of Yellow Jackets. In addition to teaching Health Science, I serve as the HOSA Advisor, helping students explore healthcare careers, develop leadership skills, serve their community, and take advantage of opportunities beyond the classroom.
My goal is to create a classroom where you feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow. Whether you already know exactly what you want to do in healthcare or you’re just beginning to explore your options, I hope this class helps you discover new possibilities for your future.
I’m excited to have you here. Welcome to Health Science! 🩺
