The LSHS Media Mission Statement
The Lexington High School library will provide a safe, flexible space for all stakeholders to learn, to engage, to create, to inspire and to build meaningful relationships. Library patrons will be able to find reading materials that are both relevant and enjoyable. Students will learn to become safe and effective users of information, engage critically with ideas, learn respect for each other and prepare for college and the wider world.
Further, the library will provide intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats; to stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas; to provide leadership, collaboration and assistance to educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of every student as an individual.
