Lexington Senior High School Students and Staff Celebrate Academic Achievement at Davidson-Davie Community College Commencement
On May 15, 2025, Lexington City Schools proudly celebrated the achievements of Lexington Senior High School students and staff members who successfully completed pathway, certificate, or degree programs through Davidson-Davie Community College (DDCC). This significant milestone underscores the district’s commitment to lifelong learning and advancing educational opportunities for both students and staff.
A Partnership Built for Success: DDCC and LCS Collaboration
The DDCC partnership continues to open doors for our students and staff in unprecedented ways. From career exploration programs and health science truck visits to hands-on welding demonstrations and departmental tours, participants are gaining valuable exposure to real-world career paths.
The innovative Career in a Year program introduces students to vital workforce skills, while guest speakers and financial aid workshops provide essential guidance for navigating higher education. The district’s partnership with DDCC also includes FAFSA nights, grant-funded technology programs, and initiatives that directly impact college and career readiness for students and staff alike.
