Despite winter weather keeping students out of the classroom, the Pickett Elementary community found a creative way to stay connected. Families and staff shared photos capturing their Snow Day adventures, showcasing learning, laughter, and fun across the community.
The collection was organized by Principal Melissa B. Blackburn and Assistant Principal LaKeshia Wilson, who encouraged families to participate and celebrate the unexpected day together. From snowy outdoor play to cozy indoor moments, the images reflected the strong school-home connection that defines Pickett Elementary.
“These moments remind us that learning and community extend beyond the school building,” school leaders shared. “Seeing our students and families enjoy the day together was truly special.”
