Lexington City Schools Recognized for Most Improved CTE Credential Attainment Rate in North Carolina

Lexington City Schools has been recognized by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction for achieving one of the highest improvements in Career and Technical Education credential attainment in the state.

During this week’s State Board of Education meeting, district leaders were acknowledged for a 47.22 percentage point increase in CTE credential attainment year over year — ranking third in North Carolina for most improved credential attainment rate for 2024–2025.

This recognition comes as North Carolina CTE students earned a record-breaking 382,964 industry credentials statewide during the 2024–2025 school year.
