Lexington City Schools proudly recognizes the outstanding students who were named winners in the 2026 Creative Writing and Arts competition, hosted in partnership with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

This annual celebration highlights the creativity, imagination, and talent of students across the district through original writing and visual art. Participants submitted pieces that reflected their unique voices, perspectives, and artistic expression, showcasing the strength of arts education throughout Lexington City Schools.

Central Elementary School (CEES) led the district with the highest number of submissions, demonstrating a strong culture of creativity and student engagement.

Lexington City Schools extends sincere appreciation to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for their continued partnership and commitment to uplifting student voice and creativity. Their support helps provide meaningful opportunities for students to share their talents and be recognized for their achievements.

Families, staff, and the community gathered to celebrate these students during the annual Creative Writing and Arts Ceremony held at Charles England Elementary School. The event recognized student winners across multiple grade levels and categories.
