Due to driver shortages and absences, Bus 51 will be substituting for Bus 39 ( Middle / High ) for both AM and PM routes.
Please be aware that there will be a delay in pickup and drop-off times for students assigned to Bus 39.

The numbers are in, and Lexington City Schools has a lot to celebrate! 🎉
Districtwide proficiency reached 51.3% for the 2025–2026 school year, marking the third consecutive year of improvement and an 8.5 percentage-point increase over three years.
And there’s more:
📈 All schools included in the accountability results met or exceeded growth
🎓 Lexington Senior High School earned its first B School Performance Grade and reached a record 91.7% four-year graduation rate
📚 Lexington Middle School earned its first C School Performance Grade and Exceeded Growth for the second consecutive year
⭐ Charles England Elementary School moved from a D to a C and returned to Met Growth
🐝 Pickett Elementary reached its highest overall achievement in the most recent three-year period and Met Growth
🌎 Southwest Elementary Global Academy continued its three-year upward achievement trajectory and Met Growth
These milestones reflect meaningful progress across our district and the collective commitment of our students, educators, families and community.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Lennox French, who will become the FIRST STUDENT in SparkNC history to create, design, and implement a unit for the statewide SparkNC platform!
Lennox’s “Creating Digital Spaces in VR” project has received approval from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and will become a learning experience available to students across North Carolina.
What started as innovation inside the Lexington Senior High School Spark Lab is now becoming an opportunity to impact students statewide. Over the coming months, Lennox and Spark Lab Leader Garland Beamer will collaborate with SparkNC, NCDPI, technology companies, and other partners to bring this virtual reality learning experience to life.
This is what happens when students are given opportunities to create, lead, innovate, and turn big ideas into real-world impact.
