Moments like these reflect the importance of being present, engaged, and committed to ensuring every student has access to meaningful opportunities and experiences.
At Lexington City Schools, every student matters. #ThriveInTheHive

We have been informed that Canvas is currently experiencing a global outage due to a recent cyberattack. As a precaution, LCS has disabled access to Canvas at this time. Please do not attempt to log in or use the platform.
As a result, both teachers and students will be unable to access coursework until further notice. At this time, there is no estimated timeline for when service will be restored. We recognize the disruption this may cause and want to assure you that students will not be penalized during this outage.
We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available. In the meantime, please refer to the district website for the latest information regarding the Canvas outage.
Today we honor our incredible school nurses for the care, compassion, and dedication they show our students every single day. Thank you for all you do! #ThriveInTheHive

Through Books on Break, students across Lexington City Schools are selecting books to take home and keep, building personal libraries and extending learning beyond the classroom.
This initiative is designed to remove barriers to book ownership, ensuring every student has the opportunity to read, grow, and succeed on their own terms.
From preparation to distribution, this work reflects a system-wide commitment to expanding access and creating conditions for long-term student success.
